Does it grind, or does the car shake and not go as fast?

 

It goes just fine if I do it right. It's me, not that tranny. I'm positive. When I do do it wrong, it shakes. It never grinds.

uh.... I think that is his problem. If you are at 6000 RPM, you are already giving it some stink, and the engine's inertia will give it some natural torque, making a fast shift smoother than one at a lower RPM... just read 99lx's reply...
