Default HELP on Civic EX 07

Hi, i have a question, hope the experts here can shine a light for me.
When you look at the picture and look at the arrow sign, is it normal for that area to become warm/very warm after about 15 drive?
The other side of that part is not warm at all, only on one side where the gear numbers are.

Thanks.

It should be normal to get warm, but it should be too hot, maybe the air vent fell off and the air is blowing there.

I hate to state the obvious, but is the light on underneath that area? My dash gets quite warm where the lights are.

There's no light above the area and the air vent is ok. It is just getting very warm (not burning hot) after say an hour. What makes me wonder is that it is only warm on one side. The other side is just fine. Well, if several of you is experiencing the same thing without any problems so far, i guess it's perfectly normal..
