Help me deicide.

Help me deicide.
I've done the I/H/E. I've done a pretty good suspension setup and I've done someappearance. I don'thavethe moneyfor a turbo, I would but it would take forever. On my incomean engine swap is out of the question. I'm satisfied with the suspension and appearence, not with the power. I'm not sure if nitrous is good for a 9 year old car even if it's a dry shot. Please give me horsepower ideas.

To get a little more quickness...
-Depending on what engine you have...Mini-me.
- Port and polish the head.
- Underdrive pullies.
-Tranny swap to get gearing more ideal for your preferences.
- Better clutch and a limited-slip diff for betterhookup.
- Short-throw shifter.
- If your exhaust still includes a stock-type cat, install a flow-through cat.
- If applicable, wrap the headers.
- Shave weight wherever practical. Get out and gradually work up to run 4-6 miles or swim 1-2 miles, moderately hard, every other day if you're a big boy.
Those are all fine for longevity and reliability. You could also try a more aggressive cam, but you may not like what it does to a daily driver if you go too aggressive on the grind. After that, a performance rebuild with a boring, balancing, and blueprinting could get you some power. It may mean premium gas though.

It's gotta be turbo, I know thats not what you wanted to hear obviously.
Piece your own kit together, all said and done should be around $3000.

As far as power goes, Kommando has some good advice... also, regarding a cam: if you go with aStage I cam, you should be fine with driveability on the street, and they're usually worth around 10hp

Like mxs said, I'll probably just start autocross. My car is will be pretty well set up for it once I get this freakin sway bar on. I heard a Stage 1 cam wasn't worth getting, but for basically the same idle and driveability with a 10 hp gain is not bad. What if I got a single fogger kit of nitrous or the NOS Sniper kit.The highest I would go would be a 50 shot. What do you guys think about a new I/M with a bigger tb and a cam?

I wouldn't even bother swapping to a Stage 1. I know the funds are tight, but how about the will? You could get some high compression pistons for ~ 100 bucks if you look around. 12:1 cr. Sweet. Honda Tuning put p28's in an otherwise stock z6 and made 146whp.
