^^ Do it.

Energy Shifter Bushings ordered!

I plan on getting my inspection done this weekend, too. If everything checks out with no problems, I'll be off to spend my tax money!

Competition Stage 2 Clutch
Bisimoto 2.3 Billet Cam
ARP Rod Bolts
New Oil Pan and Gasket
New gaskets for the exhaust system (since I have none right now)
All the parts needed to finish the intake system 100%
Replacement spark plugs
Replacement S/C belt
Wink Mirror
Boost gauge and dual gauge bezel

This is just what I plan on buying....you never know if someone has some awesome deals on Craigslist that will pop up in the near future.

Some good news!

Mishimoto is hooking it up with a free Thermostat since they need some quick pictures of what it looks like installed and all that good stuff. I'll be making a DIY guide on how to replace the Thermostat for HCF, too!

Other than that, nothing has been going on with the car. It's dirty, low on gas, and needs to be vacuumed out. D@mn winter.. this sucks.

Installed the ES shifter bushings, love them.

Installed the Mishimoto Thermostat, and my motor struggles to get a little below the 1/2 way mark on the dash's water temp gauge. Overall, it does it's job!

Ordered my clutch over the weekend, and my new cam was just ordered tonight! I am planning on having the clutch in my hands this weekend and installing it then. The cam, I expect, will be here sometime next week, so I can hopefully get it installed the first weekend of March. woot!

So what are your plans for the P29 pistons? I noticed most of our lower end plans are mostly the same. I am too scared to try the ebay brand piston sets for like $100. Also, I never see any used sets on CL. I was just planning on ordering new pistons and rings from majestic honda for somewhere around $300 but it would be nice to hear your plans as well.

I did some research on them and found a few threads on H-T, nothing bad was said about them from what I could find. We are probably looking at the same auction, huh? I'll be getting the 75.5mm pistons.

In addition to the bisi cam last night, I also grabbed a set of "crystal" "jdm" headlights, fogs, and new tail lights. I have something different planned for the headlights, the bezels from the fog light kit are the only things I need, and my stock tails look like cr4p. The white finish where the reverse light is looks almost gray, ugh.. I hate looking at it.

Yes! Those.
I talked to my dad who is helping me build the motor and he said the only problem he ever had with buying pistons from ebay (chevy motors though) was that they were heavy compared to stock or aftermarket. I mean you cant really mess up something like a piston I guess. I'm not sure how far over I'm boring the block, either .25mm or .5mm like you. Thats the only reason I havent ordered. But that would sure help by not having to pay so much.

What kind of cam is the bisi?
You never really explained, unless you did somewhere else.

Nah, I don't think I posted about it. Its the 2.3 y8 "nitrous" billet cam. When I was comparing the specs of the level 2 cams, I liked the 2.3 the best. I emailed them exactly what my set-up will be in the end, and they, too, suggested the 2.3 cam. Done deal.

I really hope to be able to finish the motor building by the end of August, and dropping it in before the end of October. By the end of this year, the project should be complete.

Edit: well... the project will be complete for the most part, it'll probably never end

More good news!

Just received the tracking number for the camshaft, tail lights, and velocity stack... sweeeet

Lastly, check out the newest thing Mishimoto came out with, it's called "Cold Gold" (yes, its a horribly cheesy name, I know).

Its basically a reflective heat tape, or a heat wrap for your radiator/intake piping. If you have an aluminum radiator, you would put this stuff on the top, but I dont have one of those fancy all metal rads, so it'll be going on my intake piping. Good deal for me as I was going to buy some heat wrap for the intake myself, and it'll match perfectly with the color scheme I'm going for. If any is left over, I'm thinking about wrapping the A/c lines just for fun and for more **bling** lol.

If my clutch doesn't come in by this weekend, I'll be installing this and doing a quick write up about it and how much it changes the intake temperatures just like I did with the exhaust wrap.... but maybe a little less involved. haha
