You guys think its a good idea to buy a used intercooler, boost controler, injectors and gages?
or should i go for new gages and boost controler.

Yeah but people usually lie about how long they were used (only used for one dyno pull...etc.),
eh im probably gonna just buy them new unless i find a really good deal.

Havent really done anything to the sol yet, still waiting to see what hammorhead has for sale turbo wise.

I got a friend with a jetta that also wants to get some sound deadning done, so probably gonna get 100ft. and split it 50/50 for the cheaper price.

Hey DaOne long time no talk man and the Sol is coming along great and excited for the turbo set up man! Let me know how it goes and all Ill be around to check it out for sure, I still say B18 swap then turbo!

Yesterday when i went over to pick up the turbo set up. i got the guy to throw in his old intercooler (he had a huge one in his garage)
And i went over to the local tunner shop so they could take a look at the turbo for me (in case i overlooked something on it). and they said it was in very good condition.

Hopefully i can start ordering parts this week.

This is what i have so far:
Intercooler


Downpipe with 2 Bungs. (O2 and Wideband? lol)


Greddy Manifold (heavy as F*@#)


Greddy 15g Turbo (its so ..SMALL... But should be fun lol)

 

BTW What size piping should i go with.
The intercooler's inlet/outlet meassures 2.5 inches.
the turbo side measures 2inches.

So i would need a 2.5in piping and a coupler reducer from 2.5 to 2in that would go on the turbo. Correct?

I think im going to go with ebay piping. that has bead rolls. (or if not have a friend do it) And just replace the couplers and clamps if it doesnt come with T clamps.
