I think im gonna be starting to install the turbo this weekend, once its all installed i'll be going to friends house and getting exhaust done. and then over to the tunner.

when i drive to get my exhaust done i'll just unhook the cold side of the turbo piping and drive slow. Should be safe. Right?

Edit: Just a pic i took during the tests.
The spark plugs look to be the correct heat temperature. At least the previous owner used the right ones...haha

Yes, you can run open header. It'll be rather throaty, but not bad for anything.

Be sure that you are not boosted. If you have a boost controller, turn it all the way down.

Thanks for confirming that Dan.
Better safe than sorry..

Well im thinking about just taking a piece of the intercooler piping out and just run it like if it was a short ram intake. that way i wont have to worry about hitting boost.

Since its a small turbo.. dont wanna hit boost on accident..lol

I also had a very hard time trying to remove the o2 sensor... So I let it soak in pb blaster for a while.

Every get the o2 off? What are you using to get at it... just an open end? Me being the Snap On/Matco ***** I am I'd say get one of their sockets, but go to Sears and get an O2 sensor socket if you don't have one. The 5 sides on the sensor will make it muchhhhhhh easier to get off then if you are using an open end.

I actually did end up getting that o2 off!
i just kicked the wrench and got that dam thing off after about 2 days of messing with it.
LOL

I also got my oil feed lines and electrical oil pressure gage hooked up.
and i bought me a grinder from harbor freight so that i could make my intercooler fit..lol i think im going to have to cut into my support beam a little...

Edit This is what i got for my oil feed lines.

You probably will have to make some cuts to fit. And did you get the 4.5" angle grinder for $17.99?! I've got one and I love it because it is so cheap I don't care what happens to it lol.
