so fresh and so clean

dont worry to much about this thing... sure it will nickle and dime you to death with little odds and ends BUT REMEMBER when shes done it will be worth every penny!

hell i spent quite a bit of cash on just new oil seals and basic tune up parts on my old 94 ex motor before i droped it in! but when it was all and done NO LEAKS and ran great.
just dont cheap out and give the motor a weak spot to fail at!

Alright. So it looks like I need the following:

main bearings: BBCCB
rod bearings: 3334

Still trying to figure out what's with the color code thing.

The color code is weird. I have a paper at home showing how to figure it out. But i dont have a scanner to scan it and post it. My gf does and i should be over at here house tomorrow night. Ill try to get it scanned and post it up.

There is more to the rod bearings then what you have right now. You also have to get some letters or markings off of the crank.

you gonna keep the letters polished? looks like you polished up the raised lettering before painting.

Shoulda ground down the bumbies on the valve cover, the ground spots. They look so awkward on y7/y8 valve covers.

I forgot to update.

The paint failed. For a little bit, I actually had a wrinkle gold valve cover. But there was a flaw that got worse and worse so I've been sanding it hardcore back down to metal. Gotta start over.
