and if you have the crank pulley bolt out just start hammering on the pulley to knock it off, either copper hammer or wooden block of course instead of just a steel hammer head.
as to the main cap/girdle i think you have to remove the oil pump on the front of the motor to get it off. I THINK. i tried pulling it off my old z6 and im pretty sure thats what was holding it on the block.
F@cking awesome... how did this come about? Did he have a CL ad asking for a 6 pack of beer, or was it someone that you knew?
The engine was all stock. I just slapped an eBay kit on there and called it good. I was getting a rod knock during tuning so we had to cut the tune short at 160 whp, which didn't surprise me since I was hearing signs of a spun/worn rod bearing before I boosted it. Unfortunately, I had fun with it for only two months before it was stolen and stripped. And think I had a thread on here about my car a year ago. I have pics if you want
At last count there were 12 spare engines in the shop but they're all spoken for. They run a lot of 24 hours of Lemons races. I think they have a chumpcar build too. And besides, shipping would KILL.
