Hobo's 2000 LX daily driver
I have 2 cell phone bills 3 car insurance payments a small amount of rent for 2 diff places...
I make almost 28k a year.
When I had the cobalt **** was tough because My payment there was 499.92/mo insurance was 318.16/mo plus 130/mo cell phone gas maintenance on the car and everything...
But don't worry be happy everything happens for a reason... you gotta get through the rain to see the sunshine!

AT the time i had a few but I live in a "high risk" area (i mean it did end up getting stolen) and it was an SS and Im under 25 Baltimore has weird insurance stuff... idk when I first got the car my Insurance was 419/mo
Mann im broke as hell and all of the money i do get is going straight into savings for college, bills, and gas and ****...thus my project hasnt even left the ground. At least ur project has taken off and u have a ton of parts. Let it sit until u can get some more work done and then CONTINUE!
im having to wait patiently until i can have bills paid, college payments under control, and i kno what im going to do inbetween semesters and stuff and it f@cking blows hardcore
just stick it out bud ur like one of the limited few on here that always has work done on ur project...if u end up giving up then whats that show to everyone else on here who admire ur work? Im glad ur deciding to stick with it and wait it out...good luck buddy!

There are times when the way forward is also the way back.
I've been sitting around staring at these parts for awhile trying to decide their fate. I made a few mistakes when I began this project. I didn't plan my stages right. I didn't really plan this out at all. I didn't set more clear goals. I started buying parts figuring that I'd fill in the blanks later. This was a very bad idea.
I'm in a pretty bad financial situation right now. I've gotta move to a new apartment soon and I have almost completely depleted my savings. Money is going out faster than it's coming in. While I try to make progress on this build, I forget that I still have other bills to pay. A couple of weeks ago, it really hit me that I've been throwing money away because of little mistakes here and there. I can't afford to lose money like that. So here's what I have to do in the short term to keep moving in the long term.
~The engine is gonna stay. I've gotta complete my new Stage 1 first. That means rebuilding this engine and getting it put into the car.
~Most of the turbo components are going to be sold. I need fast cash so I can get my life in order. They're of no use to me if it's gonna take another $1500 to get them onto the car.
~Once I have cash flow again, the block is gonna go to the shop for the rebuild prep so I can move forward again.
This is gonna take much longer than i originally thought. But once I step back for a few and really look at what I'm doing, I'll be able to move forward again.

Sorry to hear about this bro. I hope you get everything in order in your life. Ive been in the same boat before. What do you all have for the turbo setup? If you are really thinking about selling it, I might be able to help you out some.
Hey guys, no update in awhile. I'm gonna call the project dead for now. Money has been nonexistent for awhile and its gonna be tough for awhile longer. I'm gonna focus on rebuilding the spare engine and I might make it N/A in the end. Dunno yet. At this point, its not gonna be turbo.
Gonna go ahead and merge this part back into my main thread as well.
In other news, my front end has had a really bad time lately. Arkansas roads are awful. There's a lot of debris everywhere from all the construction projects. The paint is trashed. A random rock took out my passenger side fog light. And to top it off, I parked my car at this restaurant, went to dinner, and when I came out the sprinklers were on. Turns out my front end was parked over the curb directly above one of the sprinkler heads (wtf, i know). When I backed out, I almost left the whole front bumper behind because the sprinkler head was still sticking out of the ground.
I'm in desperate need of some new inspiration to keep this project moving, whatever form it takes in the end.

its all good hobo. if you want my opinion, i saw put the car off for a bit, i know it's hard but the car will always be there, opportunities to save money and get your life back on track won't be.. i just know you'll love the finished project of the car, i know you know that feeling lol
