Evos are definitely nice cars! But over here they are very common, more common than STI's. Which takes some of the wow factor they used to have a few years ago IMO.
And ofcourse SRT4's.. theres probably more of those than evos,sti's and del sols put together lol.

I got a friend with a evo9 MR and that thing is mean... The launches from an AWD is insane...It just goes. But i still pee a little whenever a civic smashes him in a race lol

Down payment on the white 05 is done. Picking it up on monday got it for $18.5k. Order my injectors and get it tuned at ams this month. Drove really well and it is mint besides one middle blemish on the bumper. It'll be a heck of a lot quicker when I turn the boost up, only at 12 psi now. Turbo is pretty big too. I love it.

Hmm realized I never uploaded pics. I'll do that later. Bad news is it needs a clutch. Idk if any of you are familiar with evos, but the stick clutches are trash. It slipped slightly in 4th when full boost would hit, which it just surges to full boost super fast. Well ou launched it 2 days ago and now it slips in all gears at 4k for a second then catches. So I'm buying a competition stage 2 I think, competition flywheel, ams shift cable bushings, blox front trans mount, and doing the clutch in a week or two. It's going to suck. But at least I won't have to worry about my clutch being a weak point when I have it tuned to high 300's next year

 

Yea, I have heard about the clutches being a PITA to replace on EVOs. I will stick with my Honda. Well, my problem is that I will have to lower the entire engine in order to pull the transmission off!

 

When I blew up my y8 trans I swapped in my old y7 in like 2 hours lol. I'll be happy if I get this done in a day.

Ordering my clutch and flywheel tomorrow. I bought AMS solid shifter bushigns too, going with a Competition stage 2 clutch and their flywheel. Hopefully I can get the entire clutch done on Sunday, going to be an all day event.


And I came across this picture today... same color I want to paint my wheels. So sick, I was going to just wait to paint RPF1's green, but I may have to paint my stock Enkei's like this.
