Default 96 Ej8 Civic Coupe Lag or Flatspot

Hey, i have a problem, when im in low low rev range, where all the torque should be i get a lag kinda thing, really noticeable when doing hill starts, my car is Manuel the only engine mods that have been done is a canon exhaust. I asked Honda last time i got my service what is causing it and they said that it was because of this canon and that it is not getting enough back pressure so it is not giving it the fuel that it needs there for lagging.
My canon also makes a really bad tinny noise at about 3k rpm then goes away when over about 4k.

But back pressiure is a myth from what i read. I have reset the ecu, cleaned the air box and ran an injector cleaner and cleaned the c02 censor what else can i do ?

Here is a picture off my cannon.

I have asked the exhaust place in town and they said that the canon has nothing to do with the flat spot or lagging.

what do you guys think ?

Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

Your car is a mexican? Your motor is stock, so it doesnt HAVE TQ. Id remove the exhaust, put the stocker back on. Have you ever tried these hills before? Maybe its in your head? How does the car run?

What do you mean by mexican lol. My motor is stock, i didn't get the stock exhaust when i bout it and Honda said that there is deffently a flat spot, its not just up hills but when you take off normally it has no power then just like power band.?

I think the pipe to the muffler is stock i think it is 2.25' is that about right for stock?

Hondas are slow man, thats just how it is. I highly doubt your exhaust is causing a " flat spot."

There just isn't any torque in the "low low rev range". It doesn't get much better once its revved higher either. Hondas are just slow.
