then basicaly DONT be one of those people that gets on REAL TV trying to drive thru a flooded street.LOL
hell a civic isnt that tall anyways even the stock air box.... if it floods dont be stupid call off work and stay inside your house. hell right across my road into this small subdivision it ALWAYS FLOODS so bad that only large trucks can get out of the division! everyones smart enough to either park there cars on the high ground and either wade thru and get a ride or have a large truck come get them....... ive had some fun thru that area before when it flooded really good in my old fullsize truck, once the water came up to the hood with the wake from the water my @ss threw it in reverse and backed the hell out.LOL

another wonderfull thing about the country corn stalks the main problem, since they clogged the drains on the road.LOL next day it was all cleared out from someone wading thru it and removing the clog.

if in doubt short ram intake or just park the car. a small puddle splash is very unlikely to lock the motor up.

it isn't a matter of trying to drive when it floods a lot of times. We can regularly have 6" or so just from a heavy downpour and that will usually happen about twice a week any time during the year. The only reason im expressing so much caution is because i had a friend loose his prelude because he was driving through a low part of the street when there was about 4-6" of water. I would hate to see that happen to someone
