Is it cracked?
Just bought a 2000 LX civic with 79000 miles on the ODO. I'm freaking out right now, I got p0135 ECU code, which is for top o2 sensor. After removing heatshield, I found this crap:
Engine performs and sounds flawlessly, so could it be that exhaust manifold is fine? I haven't replaced the sensor yet, I'm about to though.
I'm a poor college student and cannot afford any major repairs...am I ok, or am I fooked?

It wouldn't matter if it was cracked or not; you'd be able to hear the exhaust leak if it was, though (so no, the crack doesn't go all the way through the metal).
The P0135 is for the heater circuit; it's entirely electrical. Odds are, it's the oxygen sensor itself (though it's possible for it to be a harness or ECM issue).
