Has any body made a Custom intake with a K&N universal intake filter? Just wondering what kind of dimensions have been used. I've got aluminum piping and the filter is like $30. I've got somebody who will weld the piping for like$20. Wouldn't that be the cheapest route? I'm considering a 3.5 inch dia by 6 inch filter with 62mm piping all the way back to the TB. Pro's/Con's?

 

I just took an AEM filter and replaced my stock airbox with it. I hacksawed the part off the box that goes to the intake tube and used that as a coupler between the filter and tube. Works great for $30

 

Yeah I'm trying to use the aluminum pipes I already have. What size is the filter you used?

 

i think mines a 4 1/2 im not sure tho its a aem dryflow
