Ebay cat causing CEL?

Ebay cat causing CEL?
I just bought a DC Sports header, Apexi N1 cat-back, & Ebay high flow cat 4 my '00 DX. Ialso got a pair of O2 sensor wire extensions. After installing the whole system, the CEL came on. is this normal after installing an exhaust system, or could it be the high flow cat? could it be something w/ the O2 sensor? please help

You could have broken an o2 sensor or more than likely the ebay "high flow cat" is really a test pipe/resonator and it is not really a catalytic converter.

I like the spark plug non-fouler trick over a simulator. I think I have also heard that some people get away with plugging the sensor hole then just ziptieing the second o2 sensor somewhere out of the way in the engine bay and letting it hang.

If you have a code reader, do what i do and just suffer through the CEL and just check for new codes periodically.
I am so used to CEL's from my 98 Sierra that now with my civic, i don't even notice.

it is not from the cat-back system, it is from the DC sport header. i got the instructions on how to turn off the CEL from procivic.com using there dorman "bung". just get the spark plug non-foulers from autozone, or some other store, and follow these directions., i did it, and once your done installing it, make sure you dis-connect the battery for a minute and then reconnect it and you'll be all set.
