Default ebay intake

would i be completely retarded to consider buying one of these20 dollar intakes off ebay for my 96 ex?

is there really a huge difference between one ofthesejdm and the AEM ones that are like 180?

could it mess up my car at all if one of these wasnt quite perfect in quality?

yea. i ended up finding that thread seconds after i posted this one. haha. i think im going to go for the $20 one. for 20 bux you cant really go wrong. (unless it messes up other things under the hood. which was why i posted.) but the more i think about it. that just wont happen. so im gunna go for it.

thanks

My VERY first intake was a cheapo one from ebay for 19 bucks shipped... when it got to me I went to a car place and bought a nicer filter for it... .then I got in Injen Short Ram... then Simota CAI... now I am back to stock airbox and a K&N drop in and I am happy with the K&N

Short ram definitely wins in the ease of install department. There are about 3 or 4 threads on SRI vs. CAI. Just search and read to your heart's content.

yeah, you'll always get mixed opinions about CAI vs. SRI. I say get a CAI, and if you want the SRI, just dont put the second pipe on thats what i did and it works real nice.

There was a thread not too long ago (like last week) about CAI vs. SRI, just look around for it man

if you want louder, go sri, you will hear it more because its closer to you, in the engine bay
