Default Filter Cleaning??

Hi Guys I was just wondering does anyone know how to clean an air filter without messing it up?? I was thinking just use some water to wash it clean but then I was thinking that when I put it back on that if not COMPLETELY dry my engine would digest water. I'm sure this is an easy task, but I just want to get some insight on the proper way to do it. Thanks!!

if you have an aem dryflow filter, then do this: http://www.aempower.com/files/dryflo...rcleaning.html. if you have a generic off brand, then replace it with a k&n or aem unit (recommended)

Depends on the filter. What kind of material is it made out of? I've got a foam Weapon-R Secret Weapon filter. Spray it with their solution, rinse with warm water, and let dry. The filter manufacturer should have cleaning instructions somewhere online.

It doesn't have to be bone dry before you put it back on (try and get it as dry as possible, though). It won't hurt anything.
