Plus a bypass valve often add as much restriction as the OE intake had right back in and early AEM bypass valves would periodically vomit their components into your engine.

Even with a bipass vlave there still is a chance of water entering, plus its too much money.
*tells story for about the billionth time* when the water bypass valve first came out, some dudes did a test on it. submerged the entire filter in a 10 gallon aquarium full of water and didnt get any in the engine.

O and the like devil dude said (the valve) also restricts air from entering.dam I had my mind set on a sri and now I hear it doesn't give any power. the one i dont understand are the dyno charts for the cai and srs, in my other post.I mean, judging from the charts a sri seems prety good as intake, but ha what do I know.
