Your not alone nail bunny, i'm definatly laughing. Let me explain it to our friend, i don't want him to feel left out. Your transmission (if its a manual that is) has these things called "synchros". If your transmission has synchros, there is not need to double clutch. A little too much F&F i think.

Theres a huge difference between saving money, and sacrificing quality and performance. Not to mention, once you do boost it, you're going to want a quality exhaust on there. I just dont get the mentality behind spending 200 bucks now on a P.O.S. cat-back, only to boost in a year and end up needing something better. You're really not saving ANY money that way.

Your car has an OBD2 setup which means it has an oxygen sensor before the cat and after the cat. With your cat gutted, your post o2 sensor doesnt know what to think... its getting all kinds of weird readings. Which in turn throws off your air/fuel ratio, which at high RPMs if its lean can mean some pretty bad stuff. Gutting a cat will help you in no way performance wise with a near stock car below 200hp, IMO switch it out with a magnaflow high flow cat... it will run you about $60 and your car will run better, be quieter and be legal.
