Default Some advice?

I've decided to go ahead and sell my 2000 celica gt-s, and bought a smashed up 2001 four door civic to fix up. Mainly because looking for a more "adult" car I guess. Anyways, the civic is the most awful factory color forest green with the beige interior. My dad always taught me to never paint outside of factory color (i'll never understand why, but it was something he has always been majorly against, I think it's because he's too lazy to do all the work in the door jams.) Regardless, any advice on what I should do to this, i've always been a white car, black rims type of person. I'm thinking of going stealth with it but I really can't decide on what else to do with that awful color, or really what other colors can go with the forest green and beige.

Any advice?

If this ugly green gives you any idea of how it looks...

Default RE: Some advice?

I'd say see if you can't have the interior re-upholsteredin a different color... I know JCWhitney sells an interior kit that covers the seats, doors, etc. that you can choose the colors you want, but I wouldn't recommend ordering anything from JCWhitney unless you don't mind being back-ordered for a few months (or calling in only to find out that the product you were about to order has been discontinued). Anyway, I'd say go with gunmetal wheels... maybe add some carbon-fiber? I think a hood, trunk lid, and front lip would look pretty good with the stock green.
