it would be pretty rockin if you figured out all the angles and hinge points and made the lower part of the hatch open out and down without any rotation so it would end up covering the bumper but oriented the same way as it did closed.

no no no If you got the money...SPLIT it! THAT would be sick! You know like two doors opening out! I dont know how you would do it and that would mean body and glass work but man...that would be sick.

splittig it would be sick! but i think ima look more into getting the bottom to open to the side, like a swing tail gate....and the top piece will still open up. i dont know how yet, i deff. think ima give it a shot tho

what if you made it go down and to the side (not at the same time) like the ridgeline.
