Do not get a ducati my brother had a trip9and he rode it 2 times in 2 years because when he wanted to ride it it ould not start so he traded it a F****** $12,000 rolex like an idiot now i have to ask him how fast the watch is....I have been riding since i was 12 but now i am 22 and getting my motorcycle liscense on feb the 8th then shortly after i am getting a dualsport like an xr 650l just for commuting and the fun fun dirt riding

grown up around mx bikes, still race them to this day and my parents are into street bikes so im looking into a cbr600 for something as a weekend type bike

i used to sell motorcycles and i have rode since i was 8 so now im thinking about getting one after bootcamp....i love them but i just want one to stunt on.

Ducatis are more like the Ferrari of motorcycles. They are really great bikes as far as performance goes. Its no secret that Ducatis require a lot of maintance, if you don't maintain it its not going to be very reliable. If you don't keep up with the maintanance on a Ducati its going to give you lots of problems, its not like a Japanese bike where you just put gas in it. If you don't maintain a Ferrari its not going work either. Does that mean its a piece of **** too? Thats one of the things you have to know when you buy a Ducati (or any Italian bike really), that maintanance has to be done at the scheduled periods. Just because your brother's bike did not work very well for him is not a good reason to not buy one. I know plenty of people with Ducatis and they all love them. I will probably buy a Ducati 848 or 1098 when I graduate from college.
