Default Stripped Bolt removal

I was going to change the oil on my quad today for the first time since owning it, and the oil pan plug bolt is slightly stripped, which means the original size socket will not fit tightly on now and no other close size will work. What are some ways/best ways to get this damn thing off? I don't care if it has to be wrecked to get off, as I am ordering a new plug from
yamahaoftroy.com. thanks for any help

craftsman damaged bolt remover works great. i have the 13pc set thats saved me a couple times. dont think the smaller set comes with a 17mm remover.

Channel locks or heavy duty vice grips will work fine. As long as you replace it with a new bolt when you're done. Good luck!

drill the bolt out if it's accesiable. hammer on another size socket. grap a pair of vice gripps and clamp on to it and turn. lots of ways. smash it.

lol ya, thanks for the tips. I tried the vicegrips but it was too tough to get them on there because of the angle. I will try and pic up a set of the craftsman. I am afraid to drill it out because it is in the engine so it might leave chips behind in the engine after the oil drains=bad. I am also going to see if I can get a c-clamp around it and hammer( smash, lol) it loose. I can't believe this though, first the carb screws are stripped when I go to install a jet kit, now the oil bolt is stripped when I go to change the oil[:@] O well, at least it runs good right?
