Default 1998 hood and suspension

hi everyone. first let me start by saying i know nothing about hondas as i am a vw person myself.

thats probably not a good way to start my post

in any event, my sister has a 98 civic, and the previous owner didnt treat the car too hot. in any event, she is looking to replace the hood and the struts/springs(front and rear), with oem parts from the junkyards.. id like to find out what years carsi should look to yank the parts from.

or if anyone is in the area(philly), and has these parts, certainly let me know.

thanks a ton folks. sorry i dont have much to offer back, but if anyone wants some vw or jeep info, that i can definitley provide!!!

i know years '96-'98 of the same body style will fit... and possibly '99-'00. but i'm sure about the '96-'98.

You should buy new struts, kind of pointless to put junkyard ones on that may be quite worn out. Civic springs will interchange over a wide range of years though, the people at the junkyard should have a database to help with that.

with the hood it has to be 96-98 cause the 99-00 have different fenders and lights and the hood won't line up. +1 on the buying new struts. go with new so that way you know how they were being treated.
