No voltage going to the clutch safety switch....going to pull the steering wheel open now

You tested voltage with the key in ON(III), right? If so, check the ignition switch:

when checking for continuity am I lookinf for12v?

Continuity indicates low or no resistance (Ohms). So no, there are no voltage measurements. Just do all combinations of tests in a pairwise fashion on the disconnected switch as shown in the diagram. You are most interested in the continuity tests for ON(III).

Testing continuity between Bat and Blk/Wht (St) in ON(III) is what you are most interested in.

yea i have problems w/ continuity on blk/wh stripe reading 1 wont 0 out

What is your multimeter set to read? Are you talking about continuity between Bat and Blk/Wt(ST) with key in ON(III)?
