94 civic ex won't start very little spark
I did forget the obvious that it might be a broken/stripped timing belt. If you haven't already, take the cap off and make sure the rotor turns when you crank. It would be good to also pull the cover and check the timing marks, though if the cam is turning but out of time, you will get sparks.
Follow the flow chart and check for ohms from the sensors all the way back to the ECU. Also make sure to check for ground faults and interconnects between the sensor circuits. It sounds like this may be a swap job where wires have been spliced.
Considering it is a swap job you may also not have the proper distributor because the one you bought was assuming it was stock.
While you have the cap off hold a grounded wire near the coil output terminal and crank. Checking for sparks that way will show if your cap or rotor is bad. You should get blue sparks at least half an inch long.
