95 Civic EX check engine light on Code 9

Check that the sensor wires are not shorted to ground or to any other wiring (measure at the ECU plug with the ECU unplugged but the distributor plugged in). I think they run on shielded cable through the harness. Make sure the shield ground wire is intact.

OP -- This is done by measuring resistance (Ohms) to ground from either B11 or B12 in the ECU connector. There should be extremely high resistance.
