where can you get the Honda ATF? Only at the dealer? How much will I need to do it a couple of times?

Only at the dealer if you want it ASAP. You can order it online but the shipping price offsets the savings. You need 3 quarts (2.9 if you want to get technical) for each drain and refill. So you'll need 6 total, unless you want to drain and refill it a 3rd time... I wouldn't waste my money with the 3rd though.
Drain at the drain bolt at the bottom of the transmission, and refill at the transmission dipstick.

Cool! I'll be stopping tomorrow to get some. I'll report back if it works....

The reason for multiple drain/fill is because the torque converter doesnt drain. In order to circulate & mix it all up, you may want to drive around for a day or at least 10 or 20 miles.

Holy Rip Off Batman- My local Honda dealer wants $11.89 a QUART for ATF-z1. Found some Import ATF by Castrol. I'm going to give that a try first to see if flushing will bring it back to life. I don't want to spend $75 on fluid for it NOT to work. If it does, I'll find a online source for the z-1 cheaper and then change it several times once I know it will work..
Draining as I type... results to follow..........

I believe you are supposed to use only genuine Honda tranny fluid. Anything else is not recommended.

Right now it is not drivable. So if it doesn't work I'm only out $30 compared to the $75 for Honda fluid.

Ok after first flush, not too much change. Although tonight it held in gear longer before going to neutral.. Going to run it a little each night hoping to get more of the crap to mix into the new fluid and drain it out.
