about to do a tuneup....

Default about to do a tuneup....

on my 92 civic LX, 5-speed.....its got 128K and i just changed the timing belt, water pump, and timing belt tensioner last week.....i'm ready to do a tuneup and get that great gas mileage and performance.....what are all the parts i should change in the tuneup so i could get the most MPG...and where could i get them??

standard tune-up is just plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor.

Yeah, also check the ignition timing with a timing gun. Use basic NGK spark plugs recommended by Honda. You should do fine with good plug wires, cap, and rotor from the local auto parts store.

Is the CEL ON?

nah, no CEL...just wanted to tune it up, since it hasnt been since maybe 75k..so thats it huh, plugs, wires, cap, and rotor?

That sounds about it, make sure you also check your alternator belt and do the basic oil and tranny fluid. I would also recommend checking your tires and brake fluid and maybe brakes while you're at it, it may seem like it doesn't make sense but every little thing will help

tires are pretty new, alternator belt was changed at the same time as timing belt...speaking of brakes, i need to change those as well, they're really low. thanks for the info
