ac only works randomly help

Do not jump the pressure switch.

From reading the other forum it appears that you're not very experienced with electrical work. It may be better off to find (i.e. pay) someone local to look at your car in person.

ok so today my ac was not working and i started hitting the climate control and it started working.. and then it stopped and i hit it again and it went on again.. so i guess its my hvac switch then right?? how can i just test the hvac right now to see if thats the problem?

It seems that through percussive maintenance, you have already tested it.

Replace the switch.

my car is shaking on and off when my ac is on sometimes not constant also

That's a different problem. If the condenser fan is running, it is usually because the IACV is dirty and the engine can't idle strong enough to handle the load of the compressor.

It is looking more and more like your control panel is bad that's why the A/C doesn't run all the time.

I changed the buttons and havent had any problems since and its been over 2 months
