A/C problem
They work pretty good when working properly, compared to many older Japanese cars (especially Subaru, which had really lame A/C). In very hot weather if you prefer the "meat locker" effect inside the car, it helps to put the air control on recirculate instead of fresh.
You really can't test the A/C system in cold weather. Wait until it gets warm.

bought a 1994 civic EX and seller tells me A/C does not get very cold.....says that is typical of that year??? have yet to check freon, but concerned....is this a common problem??? and is there anything I can do to improve it?
If you buy an appropriate set of automotive freon pressure gauges for your car (R12 versus R134), you can determine whether or not the A/C system is working properly.
