Default Car Stereo Problems

Lately my car stereo has been giving me trouble. I only get sound out of the left rear speaker, the unit heats up unbelieveably hot, and the sound at full high is abnormally low. You can hear the sound for about a minute until it fades away to nothing. I just put a new stock unit in as the old one was doing the same thing, turns out this one is doing the exact same. Someone mentioned it could be a poor ground somewhere?

It's possible that all the speakers are completely blown except that one that still works a little. Stock speakers don't last very well.
