CEL: P1343 code from Autozone OBDII reader?
My feince's '99 EX sedan had it's CEL come on steady a few days ago. Took it to Autozone and they said that it was a P1343 a generic code that could me evap. system issues. But that only a HONDA OBDII scan could read it? Is this true?[:@]

Everywhere that i check on the internet it says that P1343 is a BMW code. Misfire Cylinder 1 With Fuel Cut-off. I dunno what that means. Does the engine shake or anything like that?

RE: CEL: P1343 code from Autozone OBDII reader?
I work at the Zone. A code like that is one that is a manufacter specific. The only thing we can do is give a general idea of what it could possibly be. The best idea would be to either take it to a mechanic or a Honda dealer. Sometimes a Haynes manual will tell you what it is. Depends on the vehicle. We can only give specifics on a code between 100 and 550. All those are the same. Everything and your SOL. Good luck.
