Default Cooling Fan Wont cut on

My cooling fan wont turn on my 93 civic.
I connected it directly to the battery and it worked.

Locate the coolant temperature switch, which is on the thermostat housing (where the lower radiator hose connects to the engine). Unplg the switch and jumper the two pins in the connector. Turn the key on and the fan should run. If it doesn't, could be the fuse or relay. If it does, replace the switch.
