Couple probs with my 98 hatch cx
First problem
got a intermittent high idle only when the AC is on (1300rpm or so) I can hit the AC button to shut it off and idle returns to normal. High idle causes my AC to blow warm, when idle is normal she blows ice cold. I usually snap the throttle a few times to the floor or kick in the clutch and give her a couple revs (5500 rpm or so) which usually sends her back to idling normal, works 75% of the time, lol! I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I also have a belt squeal when engine is cold and AC on. Squeals till 4-4500 rpm and goes away, doesn't return until next cold start.
Second problem
Low rpm bog, happens from idle to 3500rpm or so and only at half throttle or more. CEL on, code was for bad catalytic converter.
Other than those 2 problems, she runs like a champ for having 174K miles. Any help would be much appreciated guys, thanks!

Make sure the throttle plate closes all the way every time when no one is pressing the gas. If it doesn't, the cable is probably sticky.
Squealing could be the A/C belt or the alternator belt. Make sure the condenser fan works. If the fan doesn't work the pressure will rise, making the compressor abnormally hard to turn.
Misfiring at low rpm and heavy throttle tends to be from weak sparks. If it continues after replacing the plugs (use the specified conventional NGK's-- not platinum, etc) the wires are the most likely problem especially if they are aftermarket.
