These 3 sensors are the reluctor coils in the bottom part of the distributor. Check for resistance and ground faults at the distributor plug. Officially, the distributor is not intended to be taken apart to replace the sensors individually. You would replace the distributor complete.

Since this is a swap job it's more likely the harness is wired improperly. You can pull up a diagram and identify which pins on the ECU are involved with each sensor. Unplug the ECU and measure sensor resistance and ground faults at the ECU end of the harness. Note that the 3 sensors are electrically the same but send different pulse rates to the ECU. If you have them switched around that will cause a lot of trouble.

you mentioned the head was refaced. Was it professionally done? I'm not a mechanic but I heard if you shave off too much you are at risk of screwing the timing.
