driver side window won't work (help)

i just checked and i dont have power to fuse #5 what would be the most likely cause of that if the fuse is good

Just curious, can you describe the test that tells you that there is no power at fuse #5?

icould be wrong on this but here it goes with the key on the on position and i put my test light on one side of the fuse and get nothing and put it on the other side and nothing either.
i thought that fuse should have power going to it with the key on the on position

If I understand your test, it would not complete the circuit, so the light would not go ON even if there is power. Touch one probe to one side of the fuse and the other probe to part of the grounded metal framework under the dash. Hold only long enough to see if the light go ON. if it does, you have power at the fuse. But yes, to do the test the ignition must be ON to supply power to the circuit.

you were right i completed the circuit and it does light up my test light. so ill do further testing from which you provided earlier. thanks
would you know how to test the power window relay

I don't think problem is the window relay because it controls ALL windows (your passenger window works).
