im having this same problem, if its cold....it will crank maybey 3 seconds before it fires....if its cold like as in weather wise below 40 it might crank 5 seconds....but i have noticed that if you crank it like twice, then hit the key agian, it will usually fire right up.
I have new plugs, 3k miles on them, wires and dizzy are stock. i was kindof leaning to weak injector, or fuel pump, but now that i think of it, i belive the problem to be in the dizzy.....Its not like i feel that im going to go out and my car wont start, its just anoying to have to crank it so much.

Some day (when i have enough saved for the dragon and or prom) im going to get a whole new ignition set up. (msd sport compact ignition, msd dizzy and blaster coil as well as new wires) so that should solve the problem.

i have mine does that every so often, expecially if i either let it sit for a while(day) or if im low on gas, i think it has to do with the fuel pump priming
