What can I do to open my Gas Tank door?

I don't think I have enough gas to make it to the nearest honda dealership.

How can I fix this porblem without messing up the paintjob and using a screwdriver.

Take off the plastic panels that cover the gas tank lever (the one on the floor to the left of the drivers seat) and make sure nothing came unhooked.

 

Okay forgive me how do I do that? Take the panels off. This is my first car ever and I am such a newbie
