fuel trouble?
so i have a 89 hatch with the d15 dpfi and every now and then i will go to start it and it will just crank and i can listen and not hear the fuel pump so i turn the key off wait 2 or 3 minutes and it works any ideas
Did you read the link that Ron posted? It's quite good. In a nutshell, take the relay out of the car, pry the plastic case open, and resolder the circuit board inside. If you buy a used relay, resolder it too because they factory solder job will pretty much always go bad after enough bumps in the road.
I would not mess with the desoldering stuff the link is talking about. Just heat up each joint and apply more new solder. If a joint still looks suspect after doing that, dry off the tip of your soldering iron (use a wet rag or just flick the solder off) and use it to remove most of the solder from the relay joint. Then dry off that old solder and use new. If you've never soldered electronic stuff before, it would be better to find someone who has, or buy a NEW main relay.
