Default HELP WITH SQEAKING SOUND!!!

i need help. i have a 2000 honda civic lx and everytime im not accelerating im hearing a loud squeaking sound coming from the engine. i really think its the idel pulley. dose anyone have tutorial on the pulley or suggestions to what that sound might be if it is not the pulley? the honda dealership said it might be due to a loose idel belt and will charge me 40 just to look at it and tell me it is or isnt. if its a lose belt dose anyone how to tighten the idel belt? thanks for all your help.

its probably the alternator or AC belt. get a Haynes manual. it will tell you how to do it, and will save you a ton of time and money in the future.
