I need help please out of options...
hey sup guys well i need help. This probably has been asked before but im at work and have no time to check it out... My girl just get a 94 EX auto the car HAS NO POWER WHAT SO EVER i can go WOT and nothing till it clears bout 3k rpms now its fine till hits v-tech again it just lacks power. I think is the map that has gone bad but i dont know check engine light is one doe. Also i have tried the Cam timing i have advanced it and reatarted and everything possible but nothing. One big thing that might be usefull for you guys to help me in, is that THE INTAKE IS SUCKING SO MUCH AIR you would think is a vacum cleaner. please help me out on this. thanks
You might get more help on this if you typed in a bigger font and usedbetter grammar....... (ouch my eyes)
You sure that the oil is up past the first dot on the stick? v-tec won't kick in if it's low. Also make sure that the intake is on tightly and no air is getting in under the filter or other leaks. What things have you done to it in the past? That could also be whats messing it up.

I thought that this was a joke. I have no clue what's being asked. btw it's spelled VTEC, all caps, no -, and no H. Either way, VTEC kicks in at 5700 rpms. A leak in the vacuum system could be the problem. If a CEL is being thrown you'll see the CEL light on. Do a search on this site for "CEL." There's a thread or two about how to get, read, and check CELs.
5700? mine kicks in at 4000. Where did you hear that???
Also if air is coming into your intake manifold, through leaks in your intake. Chances are it will be clogged with dirt and other small particles.....run seafoam through your intake manifold via the regulator hose line if thats the case.
