I have a 07 Civic 1.8. My biggest problem is coils going bad. The coils all have been replaced more then once over a 1 year time frame. I was shown how to replace them by a mechanic, so I do it myself now. My trusted garage and even my local Honda dealer, don't have any advice. Mostly driving to and from work 3 miles daily and shopping. I've given up taking long trips. Thankfully I'm not in a big city with freeways, because the coils can go without warning. The coils have been what ever the garage puts in. Most recently I put in OEM coils.

 

not sure what to tell you there. thr 08 i used to have only had transmission, a/c, and brake isses. 189k and it still ran perfectly when i sold it.
