Ignition stuck on!

Ignition stuck on!
Ok guys and gals....2000 Civic LX...Went to shut off my car and the key won't turn back. Had to kill it through the air box. It will turn back on but not off...tapped key, turn steering wheel, put it in R, N and D and it still won't turn off. Any ideas? I start a new job tomorrow and don't really want to have to pop the hood to kill it.
