low idle rpm and messed up o2

low idle rpm and messed up o2
when i install the o2 sensor in the header it would go all the way down.so now i have a small gap and a small exhaust leak.would this cause the idle to sit around 400-450 rpms after it warms up?i am getting it fixed but just making sure its not somethin else first
