I bought 2 91 civic HB the other day and 1 needed a new pressure plate so i put in a stage 2 racing and while i was at it I put in a rebuilt Si tranny. I finaly got it in today and drove the car around the block and it was quick . So i drive over to pick up a co worker stop the car and then it wont start back up not sure what happened. i thought it could be gas so i pushed it to a gas station and filled it up the car still wouldnt work so i pushed it home and checked spark (good) then while i was at it i replaced the distributer and put in new plug wires, then i also replaced the fuel pump and batery. im about to replace the starter, the car tries to start but just doesnt does anyone have any help or ideas they can offer

 

If it tries to start, it's not the starter.

 

if it just sounds like your crank is spinning then it is the timing?

 

Replace the main relay. I have a 1992 LX and had the same problem. The relay is about $50-60 and located under the dash, just above the hood latch.

 

how would i go about doing the timming? im about to check that relay right now ill let you know how it goes.

 

Open up the relay and check to see if any of the soldered joints are cracked.If you have a soldering iron, re-solder those joints that look bad.

i checked the timing and i dont beleive thats it i also checked the spark plugs and the3rd one was covered in oil so then i checked the compression and these were the results

Im not sure what this means hopefully someone can help also my cuzin said its not the main relay so does anyone have any other ideas i still cannot figure it out thanks.
