Default New guy needs help on tire rubbing issue

Hi guys,
I need some help, as I am not too knowledgeable about civics. My girlfriend recently bought an 01 civic. The car was lowered and has 17" rims on it. When we test drove it, I purposely made her drive over pot holes and make hard turns to see if there was any rubbing, and I didn't notice anything. now she is telling me from driving on the belt parkway in Brooklyn, she has rubbing issues when she turns all the way to left, she hears a rubbing noise.

Now I do not know how much of a drop or what brand the suspension is, but I know the rims are 17"x7 40 offset motegi sx7. The tires are 205/45/17. Should a fender roll solve the problem, or am I looking at either changing the rims or something else?

If I recall right, the biggest tires that'll fit comfortably on a Civic without rolling fenders are 205/40. You can roll the fenders to help the problem.

na the 205-40-17 is for up uto 00 civics. newer civics are larger tires.
