Got the valve cover gasket, some black gloss engine enamel paint, and a pcv valve (for my car) today at Autozone. I was surprised that the gasket came in a box with plastic rings and some replacement nuts aswell $23, $30 total. I decided while it was off that I would paint it so I brushed off some more chips of paint with a wire brush and put two coats on it. I wasn't trying to be too perfect just wanted to test it out befor I do it to my civic.
Put the new gasket on and ran it for 20 min, no noticeable leeks so far.
