Default Passing gear adjustment

Is it possible to adjust the passing gear cable on a 2000 civic?

My kids car is downshifting into first at 30 mph which is not normal and I fear the little punk is gonna blow another engine.

Any help appreciated.

Have you checked the ATF level?

By chance, does the D4 indicator light blink on the dash? This would indicate a transmission problem in which a trouble code can be retrieved.

Does the picture have the information you are looking for?

Any chance you can change the size of that JPG? I'm having trouble reading it.

Thanks!
