Default Rotor replacement

Some time ago, I replaced the front brake pads on my 2001 LX sedan. I did not replace or resurface thy rotors. The brakes are now very wobbly when i brake. I'm finally going to go ahead and replace the rotors. Should I also replace the brakes? The brakes are still very new, they probably don't have more than 5000 miles on them.

Don't run used pads on a new rotor. It's going to wear unevenly. First check that the brakes aren't dragging and overheating as that will just warp your new rotors. If nothing goes wrong, you can typically go through 2 or 3 sets of pads on the same rotor.

That is worth looking in to. The brakes have been bad for a while, I'm not too optimistic about the rotor. But I'll take a look. What would I look for?

i always check to see if there's a leak at the piston rubber boot. and make sure the sliding pins glide fine
